Job Title: Commercial Flooring Apprentice/Warehouse

Job Summary:
The Commercial Flooring Apprentice supports experienced installers on commercial job sites while learning the skills required to become a professional flooring installer. This is an entry-level, hands-on position with training provided and opportunities for long-term growth in the commercial flooring industry. Responsible for receiving, organizing, staging, and shipping commercial flooring materials to support job sites and installers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead installers with commercial flooring installation (carpet tile, LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber, etc.).
- Prepare job sites including floor preparation, material staging, removal of existing flooring, and cleanup.
- Load, unload, and transport tools and materials.
- Follow job specifications, installation instructions, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Learn proper use of tools, adhesives, and installation techniques.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Represent the company professionally on job sites.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming flooring materials.
- Report shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
- Pull, stage, and prepare materials for job sites.
- Load and unload trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
- Assist with inventory tracking and documentation.
- Support installers and project managers as needed.
Qualifications:
- No prior flooring experience required (training provided).
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Ability to pass background check.
